Space Planning
I presented these plans at a formal meeting with the Customer Service department and they decided they preferred Floor Plan 2.
In this floor plan there are:
-
Twelve workstations
-
A conference table by the back window.
-
Six bar height lateral filing cabinets that separate two workstation units and creates a counter to have quick impromptu meetings at.
-
Four lateral filing cabinets on the exterior of the workstations.
-
Two bar tables to have smaller impromptu meetings at.
-
Two seating areas at each node space or circulation intersection
Workstations were picked out prior to the start of my internship.
Floor Plan 1
After a meeting with the Sto Management Team, it was suggested making a more relaxed conference setting which would include two sofas and a coffee table.
This floor plan removed the two bar tables and the two seating areas at each node space/circulation intersection
A cabinet was added to put the printer/fax on.
Reflected Ceiling Planning
These plans have been reviewed by
veenendaalcave, Duke Realty, and Sto Management Team.
-
I drew up the original reflected ceiling plan
-
I showed how the original Reflected Ceiling Plan would be in conflict with the new space layout that takes out all of the original interior half walls.
-
Troffer lighting and HVAC was evenly distributed throughout the space.
-
In the next layout, the middle troffer lights are switched out for recessed lighting to create more dynamic lighting and to define a difference in space. The HVAC has not been moved.
-
The HVAC is moved in the next reflected ceiling plan.
-
To push the sense of public and personal office space the middle dropped ceiling is taken out thus creating that sense of open space is public space while the remaining dropped ceilings create a sense of private and cozy space.
